    Summary note
Byzantine music manuscript by one of the three reformers of the musical notation used in the Greek Orthodox Church. The present is an exact copy of one of Gregory's autograph manuscripts now in the K.A. Psachos Music Library Collection in Athens, Greece. The contents and text layout are identical. Furthermore, the copyist has preserved the titles referring to Gregory as the scribe: "Heteron hoper emelopoiēthē para tou hēmeterou didaskalou kyriou Geōrgiou tou Krētos" and "Stichoi psallomenoi tē hagia kai megalē tessarakostē eis tas hōras, synthesis hēmetera," ff. 21/8 & 23/5 respectively). With the aim to disseminate his work, Gregory copied his manuscripts two or three times. In this case, the scribe seems to be one of Gregory's pupils. Among the poets and composers named are: Iōannēs Koukouzelēs; Panaretos; Geōrgios Kontopetros; Manouēl ho Chrysaphēs; Iōannēs Lampadarios ho Kladas; Petros Lampadarios ho Peloponnēsios; Chourmouzios; Geōrgios ho Krēs; Iōannēs ho Damaskēnos; Iakōvos Protopsaltēs; Valasios hiereus ho nomophylax; Grēgorios Lampadarios (also known as Grēgorios, ho Prōtopsaltēs); Petros Protopsaltēs Vyzantios; Germanos Neōn Patrōn; Chrysaphēs ho neos; Iōannēs Prōtopsaltēs; Daniēl Prōtopsaltēs; and Petros Vyzantios Bereketēs.
