  • Three folio albums assembled by the firm at, or close to, the time the specimens were printed. Together they contain approximately 250 leaves with hundreds of mounted specimens and proofs that range in size from full-page folio book illustrations to samples as small as playing cards and labels. The volumes preserve specimens from the first eight years of chromolithography from the presses in Mulhouse and Paris by the inventor Godefroy Engelmann and his successors.
