"No 3100, designed at the studios in England." --At foot of cover.
Tentatively dated on style of printing and illustration of similarly-dated Tuck publications.
Alphabet rhymes -- "A stands for Ape... B is for the Bear ... Z stands for the Zebu" -- with verse on both pastedowns, beginning: "Come hurry little ones, come and see, / This truly wonderful A, B and C, / Come watch all the animals two, by two," / The tall giraffe and the queer kangaroo."
Illustrations: Each alphabet rhyme is each illustrated by a vignette of the animal mentioned in the rhyme, accompanying a large colored alphabet letter; below the rhymes are illustrations of other animals two-by-two; uncolored line-art animal illustrations on pastedowns, including two giraffes with their heads poking through the roof of the Ark on lower pastedown.
