Summary note
Contains an anthology of hymns, including cherubic hymns. There are four different types of handwriting noted where the changes occur on folia 99r, 103r, 113v, and probably 116v. On fol. 99r the title reads: "Acsionu Duminecale" signed by Nicolae Diaconecu and on fol. 113v "Heruvicu."

  • Physical description: 8-13 double lines per page; 8vo; written in Byzantine music notation in black ink with head-titles and lettering in red ink; large initial letters also in red ink. The first 28 pages of the first manuscript are missing; foliation by the cataloger. Stamps of the former owner are found on many pages: "Biblioteca Prof. C.N. Mateescu. R. Valcea". Penciled inscription on front paste-down and flyleaf in Romanian dated 1877.
  • Bound in brown leather on hard boards with an enthroned Christ on the front panel and a floral decoration on the back ; sewn on three raised bands.
