Summary note
Consists of 42 black-and-white photographs (silver prints) of a trip in Greece in autumn of 1933. Jean Stierlin, a Swiss artist, accompanied by Paul Michaēlidēs and Dr. Maurer visited several historical and archaeological places of Greece. Included are the Tower of the Winds in Athens, the Old Metropolis (church of Panagia Gorgoepikoos), church of Saint George in Lycabettus, the port of Piraeus, Mytikas and Kalamos, Lefkas canal, views of the city of Iōannina, its Lake, the mosque, the Byzantine castle and its fortification, the ottoman cemetery and 1 photograph of Metsovo. The photographs measure 11.3 x 11.3 cm. Album is bound in brown leather on hard boards.
