Summary note
Consists of 46 mounted silver images (20 x 18.7 cm.) of Greece. Included are views of the Acropolis, the modern city of Athens, Knossos, Epidaurus, Delphi, Byzantine remnants, the monasteries of the Holy Meteora in Kalabaka, Thessaly, Thera Island, Poros, the lake of Ioannina, Sounio, Hydra, Santorini, and Mykonos. There are also images depicting ancient art, portraits of local peasants in regional costumes, as well as scenes of daily life during the decade of 1940s.
Binding note
MSS copy bound in contemporary cloth; the spine is fastened with two screws; the upper screw is bearing a female portrait and the lower is featuring the winged Pegasus.
