Summary note
A collection of several treatises, and excerpts from treatises, chiefly in Sufism. Only two sections of the ms. are dated, the short text no.1, 1014 (1605-06), and text 5, which has a colophon signed by Sulaymān bin Muḥammad Saḥlūl al-Adhilī [?] al-Shāfiʻī al-Qādirī and dated 11th of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1045 (1636).
Notes
  • Ms. composite codex.
  • Title from fol. 1a.
  • Most of the texts are written in medium small to small naskh in black ink, with some use of red. Several are in same hand, or are in similar style, with about 18 lines per page on avarage. Texts 1-11 on unglazed European paper. Text no. 12 differs the most from the rest: it is written in very small elegant nastaʻlīq, is on different paper (glazed European) and appears to be of a later date than most of the rest of the ms. Similarly, text no. 13 is on different paper (dark cream glazed European) and appears to be the oldest section of the ms.
Binding note
Half leather binding with envelope flap. Blue marbled paper over pasteboard on covers and envelope flap. Spine and fore edge flap in red leather.
