    • This wordless, pop-up kamishibai book was accompanied by a voice recording (now missing). Unlike kamishibai cards, each panel is connected at the bottom and by a pop-up image, so it must be opened with care. The story centers on a group of children, saving money for the Japanese forces, under the slogan "ichioku isshin," meaning one billion, one spirit. A wealthy boy in town does not join their group but spends his money on toys for himself. When he falls ill, the children's savings corp visits his sick bed and offers him money for a speedy recovery. He is so moved by their generous spirit that he joins with them.
    • Cut-out stand on back cover.
    • Cotsen copy: Stamped on back cover--"Shin'an tokkyo."
