    • Printed page of alphabet letters, followed by 4-line alphabet rhymes for each letter with illustrative examples pictured on facing leaves, and a final two-page version of of "One, two; buckle my shoe..." (here entitled "Numerical Pastime").
    • First rhyme: "A / Was an Apple, Pray, have / you not seen / One striped with red / and with green?"
    • Illustrations: Hand-colored engraved frontis, uncolored t.p. ill. (of a bird), 6 colored medallion vignettes on each leaf facing the vocabulary rhymes, and full-page hand-colored engraving on final leaf.
    • Cotsen copy: "My darling child, John Archimbald's way of explaining all the pictures, Pitty Tee Baw ! Too Baw ! Prety Two Boys, Two Boys, Worthing 17th Oct. 1831, Gake doodle doo, Great doodle do - i.e. bird"--Inscribed across frontis. and t.p.
