    Contents include 8 pages of alphabet letters to be cut into cards, bound between pages 1 (A1) and 2 (A2), alphabet letters and short syllables, alphabet rhymes, short Bible stories, moral instruction, and fables as "lessons," short tales about St. George, Guy of Warwick, Fortunatus, and Reynard the Fox, and a selection of versified songs, including a version of The Frog Would A-wooing Go.

    • Illustrations: Engraved frontisiece by Mosley depicting "His Highness Prince George" as a young boy in a dress, woodcut vignettes at the head of reading selections, and woodcut tailpieces.
