    Shoulder blade (scapula) of a camel on which is inscribed the Fātiḥa in black ink. Unrefined script; text not vocalized. This item is of the type from which sections of the Koran were collected and compiled in the eighth century C.E. Items of this type continued in use in North Africa into this century.
