"This work is a compilation of the most relevant contents that were taught in the Cátedra Extraordinaria Federico E. Mariscal of 2019 (ten theoretical sessions and two visits to selected architectural sites) by Gabriel Mérigo Basurto. It comprises a series of reflections, experiences and descriptions that revolve around architecture and restoration, and on the importance of the conservation of Mexico's architectural heritage. All this as a result of the professional activity that the author has developed over more than thirty years with his collaborators and various specialists who support this difficult and arduous work of conservation and valuation of our built heritage."
