Depiction: Bird's-eye view of Mount Sinai, with legend of 27 topographic features.
Item description: Among the earliest known religious prints produced for circulation in the Orthodox East.
Inscribed in plate: Upper far right, "Echei to son pneuma, ho ouranos, soma de / to theion tethesauri[s]tai en Sina haima mar/tyriou, en Alexandroupolei, sophe Ai / Katerina, skepe tous doulous sou / Eleo Theon Archiepiskopos tou hagiou kai theovadistou."
Inscribed on plate at foot, left , 'Recuperato dal Signor Michel Forro da Nausa 1736,' and, right, (in Greek), Purchased by Kyrios Michail Phorros from Naoussa in 1736.
