    Summary note
-- Copia giacca.
    • The volume contains the papers presented at Acquasparta and organized by the Lynks Cultural Association and the Italy-Israel Association of Perugia in collaboration with the Institute for the History of Contemporary Umbria and the University of Perugia. The essays collected here are part of a well-established search pattern, those of Jews in medieval and modern Umbria, focusing on the less studied part of the region, offering new acquisitions and helping to reconstruct more closely the local declinations of the investigated aspects, confirming how much information can be revealing about the portion of documentary heritage still to be explored. From this, the centrality of the Jewish-Christian relationship has come to be understood as the place of arrivals and departures and of residential choices, but above all as a field in which the interactions between the two groups were realized. The analysis of practices that marked the inclusion of Jews in the realities under examination allows to outline the attitudes of the host society but also the part played by the guests in comparison with the surrounding environment. -- Jacket copy.
