    Summary note
The author questions the prevailing and important use of graphic design as a resource for illustration, sometimes used as a perverted, seductive, blasphemous representation, either to entertain or to educate. "Thus, the graphic images are necessarily born bastard: they are daughters of an overprotective mother called "the word" and an unknown disciplinary father who eventually recognizes them. This text was built on the urgent need to inhabit a territory where the graphic images can exist despite the overwhelming discipline of 'art', or the urgent lifting of marketing: I strived to identify breaks, and subdivisions, not reveal strong changes or new paradigms."
