  • Reprint of the edition of 1701? The first edition of L'Estrange's translation appeared in 1678 and was reprinted in 1693.
  • Supposedly written in 1688, addressed to the Marquis de Chamilly.
  • Anonymous. Now believed to be the work of Gabriel Joseph de Lavergne de Guilleragues, but long attributed to Marianna Alcoforado. Cf. Wilpert, Gero von [ed.], Lexikon der Weltliteratur.
