Each photograph signed: Heliographed by J. De Witt Brinckerhoff New York.
An album of twenty mounted oval varnished salt print portrait phoographs, guarded on old linen and interleaved with tissue. Two of the sitters have been identified: Charles c. Harrison, a daguerrotypist and lensmaker, and Sam Houston.
Binding note
HSVG copy: Bound in half black goatskin and dark purple cloth, upper cover with a mounted label with the date 1856, spine gilt, marbled endpapers.
