254. (1.) Papers relating to American loyalists: viz. an account of the dates and descriptions of all communications that have taken place between His Majesty's government and any of the persons styling themselves American loyalists, or their agents, since the 4th of April 1812, to the present time;--together with copies of such of the said communications as bear date respectively on or about the 5th April and 3d December 1812; the 21st April, 6th and 10th July 1813; 26th May and 2d September 1814; 31st January and 17th May 1815; 19th June 1817; 8th April 1819, and 1st May 1820.

256. 1. Papers relating to the suppression of the slave trade: viz: return to an address from the Honourable the House of Commons to His Majesty, dated 6th February 1821; for copies or extracts of all communications received at the Colonial Office from Sir Charles MacCarthy, Governor of Sierra Leone, since the 1st of January 1819, on the subject of the slave trade.

258. (1.) Reductions in civil offices. Copies of two minutes of the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, respecting the reduction of civil offices, bearing date respectively the 10th August 1821, and 8th January 1822; together with copies of the returns made by several offices to the Board of Treasury, in pursuance of the latter of the said minutes pp. 5 to 14. 259. 1. Return of the effective strength of each regiment of British militia, in non-commissioned officers, drummers, and privates, on the 1st July 1807, and on 1st April 1808; stating also the number of each rank that have, under the provisions of the Militia Transfer Bill of 1807, volunteered into the regular or marine forces, and the addition that has, by the late ballot, been made to each regiment of militia..

270. 22d September 1807. Copy--proclamation of the Lord Lieutenant and Privy Council, prepared in pursuance of an order of the House of Commons, dated 19th February 1808,--for, "copies of all orders or proclamations of the Lord Lieutenant and Privy Council of Ireland, directing and appointing the raising men for completing the militia under the provisions of 47th Geo. III. sess. 2. cap. 56, either by ballot, or by enrolling and receiving volunteers." Council Office, Dublin.

287. 2. Accounts, presented to the House of Commons, of the quantities of the under-mentioned articles imported into Scotland, and exported therefrom, in the three years ending the fifth January 1793, and four years ending fifth January 1803; distinguishing each year, and the several ports: viz. East India goods in general; sugar, coffee, cocoa nuts, pimento, rum, ginger, cotton wool, indigo, molasses, tobacco, rice, elephants teeth, gum arabic, gum senegal, wine, brandy, geneva, silk raw, silk thrown, silk waste, barilla, kelp, raisins of all sorts, prunes, figs, almonds of all sorts, oil olives ordinary, salad oil, palm oil, oil of turpentine, train oil, and other fish oil, spermaceti oil, head matter, whale fins, foreign linen of all sorts, balsam capaiva, cantharides, ginseng, jalap, manna, opium, quicksilver, rhubarb, saffron, mohair, yarn, cotton yarn, bees wax, skins and furs, chip hats, straw hats, salt, clover seed, juniper berries, bristles, carpets of Turkey, smalts, feathers for beds, anchovies, cork, brimstone, hemp, iron, tow, mahogany, timber, wood, staves, pitch, tar, turpentine, and rosin..

288. 2. An abstract of the deed of conveyance or lease to the Board of Ordnance of the lands of Ballincollig in the county of Cork, in Ireland; specifying,--the date of such deed or lease; the number of acres thereby conveyed; the amount of the purchase money or rent reserved, and the term for which the grant was made. Also, particulars of any sum or sums of money, which may have been placed to the credit of the Board of Ordnance, or received by them, on account of the rent or produce of such part of the said lands as are not occupied by the gunpowder manufactory, or other buildings erected on the said lands, under the authority of the said board..

289. (2.) Army. Returns of the number of generals, lieutenant generals, and major generals unattached; the daily rate of pay, the numbers of each class, and the total charge; of the number of officers on full and half pay, with the existing regulations as to rates of pay; of the number of officers on retired full pay; of promotions by purchase of unattached commissions, since 1823; of the number of commissions in the army, of each rank, which have been purchased and the pay cancelled; and, a summary, showing the total expense and saving to the public.

290. 2. Civil list; third class: viz. --I.-- An account showing the actual amount of pensions paid from the third class of the civil list, from the 5th January 1815 to the 5th January 1822; distinguishing each year, and the names of the persons to whom the said pensions were paid. --II.-- An account showing the amount paid into the Consolidated Fund, from savings on the third class of the civil list, in each year since the 1st of January 1817.

291. (2.) Consuls. Return to an address of the House of Commons to His Majesty, of the 7th of May 1822;--for copies of the table or rate of fees of every kind, charged by the several British consuls general, consuls, and vice consuls, from British shipping and British subjects, at each place; distinguishing the amount or rate of charge under each separate head, in the years 1792 and 1821; also, by what authority those charges have been made.

299. 2. Further papers relating to the suppression of the slave trade. viz: A. Copies or extracts of all communications received by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, from the naval officers stationed on the coast of Africa, or in the West Indies, since the 1st of January 1820; relative to the state of the slave trade. B. Copies or extracts of all instructions issued by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to naval officers, since the 1st of January 1819; relative to the suppression of the slave trade.
